Y d’Yquem (often called “Ygrec”) is the rare dry white wine produced by Château d'Yquem, the legendary estate in Sauternes. While the château is famous for its sweet wines, Y is a sophisticated dry expression of the same exceptional terroir.
The 2023 vintage is a blend dominated by Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, combining freshness, aromatic intensity, and elegant texture. The wine is crafted with the same meticulous vineyard selection used for Yquem, but harvested earlier to preserve freshness and acidity.
Brilliant pale gold in colour. The nose reveals white peach, citrus zest, elderflower, and almond blossom, with subtle hints of mandarin peel and fennel. On the palate it is vibrant and mineral-driven, showing flavours of grapefruit, lime, and stone fruit, balanced by crisp acidity and a long, elegant finish.
