Nose:
Deep, vibrant, and intensely expressive, opening with layers of blackberry, cassis, black cherry, dark plum, violets, cocoa, espresso, cedar, graphite, and sweet spice. Aromas of fine oak, crushed stone, vanilla, and subtle floral lift emerge beautifully with aeration, giving the wine both richness and elegance.
Palate:
Rich and impeccably layered, revealing flavours of ripe black berries, dark cherry, plum, licorice, dark chocolate, espresso, spice, and mineral freshness. Luxurious yet remarkably energetic, the palate balances concentration with freshness and precision. Compared with warmer, more opulent vintages, the 2022 shows beautiful purity and immediate charm, while retaining Alión’s hallmark structure and depth.
Structure:
Full-bodied with silky, polished tannins, vibrant acidity, and exceptional balance. Matured for approximately 12–14 months in predominantly new French oak, Alión embraces a more modern and refined expression of Ribera del Duero, offering richness and accessibility while maintaining the seriousness and ageing potential associated with the Vega Sicilia family. The 2022 vintage already shows impressive harmony, texture, and integration of oak.
Finish:
Long, polished, and beautifully persistent, lingering with dark fruit, cocoa, cedar, spice, mineral freshness, and floral notes. Seamless, elegant, and deeply satisfying.

Unlike the more traditionally styled and long-aged Vega Sicilia Único, Alión offers a more fruit-forward and polished profile, showcasing the purity and richness of Tinto Fino with beautifully integrated oak and remarkable consistency.
