TEQUILA OCHO – Plata 2025 “El Nacimiento de Abajo”
Los Altos (Highlands), Jalisco, Mexico
Tequila Ocho Plata 2025 – “El Nacimiento de Abajo” is a single-estate, single-vintage tequila, highlighting the pure expression of agave from a specific field (“rancho”) harvested in 2025. Tequila Ocho is renowned for showcasing terroir in tequila, much like fine wine.
Produced from 100% blue Weber agave, grown in the highlands of Jalisco, this expression reflects the unique characteristics of the El Nacimiento de Abajo field. Each release differs slightly depending on soil, altitude, and microclimate.
The tequila is traditionally made with slow-cooked agave, natural fermentation, and copper pot distillation, then bottled unaged to preserve its pure agave character.
Crystal clear in appearance. The nose reveals aromas of fresh agave, citrus peel, and white pepper, with hints of herbal notes and light minerality. The palate is clean, vibrant, and expressive, offering flavours of sweet cooked agave, lime, green herbs, and subtle spice, finishing long, crisp, and slightly earthy.
