Incredibly expressive yet composed. Aromas of blackcurrant, ripe blackberry, and mulberry rise from the glass, layered with violet, graphite, and warm cedar. Subtle notes of dark cocoa, tobacco leaf, sage, and sweet spice reveal themselves with air. Deep, polished, and beautifully perfumed.
Full-bodied and seamless. The palate unfolds with luxurious dark fruit—cassis, plum, and blueberry—wrapped in silky but firm tannins. There is impressive tension: richness balanced by fresh acidity and a mineral backbone. Hints of espresso, licorice, roasted herbs, and fine oak add depth. Texturally, the 2021 is both powerful and remarkably elegant.
Long, focused, and beautifully persistent. Flavors of black fruit, spice, graphite, and dark chocolate linger, carried by refined tannins and a gentle saline-mineral nuance from the Bolgheri coastline.
