Medium to full-bodied with silky tannins, vibrant acidity, and exceptional harmony. Produced by the legendary Tenuta San Guido, Guidalberto offers a more approachable and earlier-drinking expression than Sassicaia, while still reflecting the quality and terroir of Bolgheri. Aged in French and American oak, the wine balances ripe fruit and polished texture with freshness and elegance.
The 2024 vintage appears particularly expressive and approachable in youth, offering purity of fruit, freshness, and impressive balance.
Finish:
Long, polished, and beautifully persistent, lingering with dark berries, cedar, spice, cocoa, Mediterranean herbs, and mineral freshness. Smooth, elegant, and highly drinkable.
Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto 2024 continues the remarkable consistency of one of Italy’s most admired Super Tuscan wines. Crafted by the iconic estate behind Sassicaia, Guidalberto was created to offer a more generous and approachable interpretation of Bolgheri, blending Cabernet Sauvignon’s structure and elegance with Merlot’s richness and charm.
Compared with Sassicaia, Guidalberto tends to be softer, fruit-forward, and more immediately accessible, making it exceptionally versatile both at the table and as a standalone wine. It consistently overdelivers in quality and remains one of Tuscany’s benchmark wines for value and drinkability.
The 2024 vintage offers a particularly vibrant and polished profile, balancing ripe fruit with freshness and refinement, making it highly enjoyable from an early stage while still capable of rewarding medium-term cellaring.
The 2024 Tuscany vintage benefited from warm growing conditions balanced by cooling coastal influences from the Tyrrhenian Sea, allowing grapes to achieve excellent ripeness while preserving freshness and aromatic intensity. In Bolgheri, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot developed excellent fruit purity, balance, and structure. Early impressions suggest a vintage of approachability, elegance, and freshness.
Now: Beautifully expressive with 30–45 minutes decanting
Peak: 2026–2039+
Cellaring: Excellent medium to long-term ageing potential
