Springbank Sherry Wood Series – Second Release
The second instalment in Springbank’s celebrated Sherry Wood Series, this expression showcases the distillery’s mastery of cask influence and balance. Matured for six years in Bourbon casks, it was then transferred for an additional four years in Palo Cortado Sherry hogsheads crafted from Spanish oak, resulting in a whisky of remarkable depth and elegance.
Tasting Notes:
Nose: Aromatic and inviting, with delicate hints of parma violets, buttercream icing, and ripe peaches, lifted by subtle undertones of cola and freshly grated ginger.
Palate: A gentle wisp of soft peat smoke interlaces with indulgent notes of red velvet cake, strawberry laces, and icing sugar, creating a beautifully layered and harmonious dram.
