Champagne, France — Multi-Vintage Cuvée
Base: Perpetual reserve begun in 2000 (similar to a solera system)
Grapes: Predominantly Pinot Noir, with Chardonnay and a touch of Pinot Meunier
Dosage: Brut
Style:
A deeply complex, layered Champagne crafted from a perpetual reserve that is refreshed each year, creating remarkable continuity of style. This cuvée highlights Philipponnat’s signature richness, minerality, and precision.
Appearance:
Brilliant pale gold with ultra-fine, persistent bubbles.
Nose:
Rich, expressive, and beautifully layered. Notes of ripe apple, pear, and citrus peel mingle with brioche, freshly baked bread, and hints of hazelnut.
Background aromas of white flowers, chalky minerality, and subtle spice reflect long ageing and Pinot Noir depth.
Palate:
Elegant, vibrant, and wonderfully structured. The Pinot Noir brings red apple, wild berries, and subtle plum, while Chardonnay adds tension and lift. The palate shows:
Bright citrus and orchard fruit
Creamy lees texture
Marked mineral backbone
The Brut dosage keeps the wine crisp and dry, allowing the complexity of the perpetual reserve to shine.
Finish:
Long, refined, and precise with lingering notes of lemon zest, toasted brioche, almond, and chalk.
Deeply complex due to the perpetual reserve system
Persistent, mineral-driven structure
A beautiful blend of richness and freshness
A true signature Champagne of the Philipponnat house
