Philippe Gonet Brut Réserve is the classic expression of this historic family-owned Champagne house. Founded in 1830 and based in the Grand Cru village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Philippe Gonet is particularly respected for producing precise and mineral-driven Champagnes.
This cuvée highlights the fruit-forward character of the estate’s vineyards while retaining the finesse and freshness associated with the house style. It is a sincere, versatile Champagne created for both celebration and relaxed enjoyment.
The blend combines Pinot Noir from Le Breuil, Fontaine-sur-Aÿ and Vertus; Chardonnay from Montgueux and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger; and Pinot Meunier from La Chapelle-Monthodon.
The base wines are matured in stainless steel with malolactic fermentation before the Champagne undergoes approximately three years of aging on its lees. Reserve wines add consistency, depth, and complexity.
Best enjoyed now or within approximately three to five years of purchase. Serve well chilled at 8–10°C in a white-wine glass or tulip-shaped Champagne glass to allow its aromas to develop.
Excellent as an aperitif or paired with oysters, smoked salmon, shellfish, sushi, ceviche, and lightly fried seafood. It also complements roast chicken, creamy cheeses, mushroom dishes and delicate charcuterie.
