Winemaker Notes
Grand Cru Vineyard
This esteemed Grand Cru lies on a gently sloping site with excellent sun exposure, allowing it to reach maturity earlier than Chambertin. The vineyard’s soil, rich with white limestone boulders and exceptional drainage, contributes to the wine’s distinctive character.
The domaine spans 20 acres under vine, producing 18 wines, including nine Premier Cru and two Grand Cru bottlings. Many of the vines are mature, with 13 of the cuvées sourced from plantings over 45 years old. The wine is noted for its vibrant, punchy flavors of bilberry, bramble, and sloe, supported by generous black fruits, velvety tannins, and a bold, structured finish.
