An exceptionally fresh, luminous and elegant Blanc de Blancs from one of Champagne's historic houses. Crafted exclusively from Chardonnay, Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs captures the Maison's signature floral character with vibrant citrus, delicate white flowers and a beautifully silky texture.
Region: Champagne, France
Grape: 100% Chardonnay
Style: Blanc de Blancs Brut Champagne
Dosage: 8 g/L
Ageing: Minimum 3 years
Reserve Wines: Up to 15%
The cuvée draws on approximately 15 crus across Champagne, including Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs and selected vineyards in the north of the Montagne de Reims, Sézannais and Vitryat. The blend includes celebrated villages such as Cramant, Avize and Chouilly.
Nose:
Bright and beautifully aromatic, opening with acacia, honeysuckle and elderflower alongside fresh lemon, citrus zest, crisp pear and subtle orchard fruit.
Palate:
Vibrant and precise, with lively Chardonnay acidity carrying citrus and fresh fruit through a finely textured palate. Despite its freshness, the wine has an appealing softness and silky density that gives it considerably more presence than a purely mineral Blanc de Blancs.
Structure:
Elegant and energetic, with fine bubbles, refreshing acidity and a graceful balance between citrus-driven freshness and Chardonnay's naturally creamy texture.
Finish:
Long, fresh and delicately chalky, gradually becoming softer and more mellow as the wine finishes.
Perrier-Jouët Blanc de Blancs is a pure expression of Chardonnay and the floral elegance for which the Maison is renowned.
Unlike the richer Pinot-led styles of Champagne, this cuvée emphasizes freshness, finesse and luminosity. Chardonnay from several distinguished Champagne terroirs is blended with up to 15% reserve wine before spending a minimum of three years ageing in Perrier-Jouët's cellars.
The result is a sophisticated Champagne that manages to be both vibrant and beautifully textured—fresh enough for an aperitif yet substantial enough to accompany an elegant meal.
This is a non-vintage cuvée, allowing the Cellar Master to blend different harvests and reserve wines to maintain the characteristic Perrier-Jouët style from release to release.
Perrier-Jouët introduced this Blanc de Blancs cuvée in 2017, although the Maison's tradition of producing Chardonnay-focused Champagnes stretches back to the 1920s.
Drink now – approximately 4 years from purchase
This Champagne is released ready to drink and is particularly appealing while its floral aromatics, citrus freshness and vibrant Chardonnay character are at their most expressive.
For those who prefer a slightly rounder, more developed style, careful cellar ageing can introduce additional brioche, toast and nutty complexity. Perrier-Jouët itself suggests approximately two to four years of additional cellaring for its non-vintage Champagne under suitable conditions.
Serving Temperature: Around 10°C.
A superb aperitif Champagne and particularly well suited to seafood and delicate dishes.
Excellent with:
Oysters · Caviar · Sea Bass · Crudo · Sushi & Sashimi · Scallops · Lobster · Shrimp · Goat Cheese · Burrata · Lightly Grilled Vegetables · Almonds · Fresh Apple
The Maison specifically recommends sea bass, oysters, almonds, mangetout, Granny Smith apple and white plum among its pairings.
The Tasting Room Recommendation:
Serve well-chilled alongside fresh oysters or Imperial Gold Osetra caviar. The Chardonnay's citrus freshness and fine acidity provide an excellent counterpoint to the richness and salinity of the caviar.
