Pazo Barrantes Albariño 2021
Rías Baixas, Galicia, Spain
Produced by Pazo de Barrantes, part of the historic Marqués de Murrieta family, Pazo Barrantes is one of Spain’s benchmark Albariño estates. The wine is crafted exclusively from estate-grown fruit, combining Atlantic freshness with texture, depth, and ageing potential rarely seen in the appellation.
A refined, structured, and age-worthy Albariño. Fresh and mineral-driven, yet with notable depth and texture, offering a more serious, gastronomic expression of the variety.
Appearance:
Bright straw with green reflections.
Nose:
Elegant and expressive. Aromas of citrus zest, green apple, pear, and white peach are layered with white flowers, subtle herbal notes, saline hints, and a delicate mineral undertone.
Palate:
Medium-bodied with excellent balance and tension. Flavours of lemon, lime, stone fruit, and crisp orchard fruit are supported by vibrant acidity and a distinct Atlantic salinity. A gentle creamy texture adds depth while maintaining freshness and precision.
Finish:
Long, clean, and mineral-driven, with lingering citrus, saline notes, and refined elegance.
A high-quality vintage in Rías Baixas, marked by freshness, balance, and aromatic purity. The 2021 vintage produced wines with excellent acidity and structure, making them both expressive in youth and capable of graceful ageing.
