Napa Valley, California — Bordeaux-Style Red Blend
Style:
A beautifully balanced and refined expression of Opus One, the 2019 vintage combines purity of fruit, polished structure, and remarkable elegance. Often described as one of the most harmonious recent releases.
Appearance:
Deep ruby with garnet edges.
Nose:
Layered and expressive. Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, dark cherry, and plum unfold alongside violet, cedar, graphite, and subtle notes of vanilla, cocoa, and sweet spice from finely integrated French oak.
Palate:
Medium- to full-bodied with seamless texture. The palate shows cassis, black cherry, and ripe plum, framed by refined tannins and fresh acidity. Notes of espresso, dark chocolate, tobacco leaf, and mineral undertones add depth and complexity.
Finish:
Long, elegant, and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, spice, and silky tannins.
Approx.:
Cabernet Sauvignon ~78%
Merlot ~8%
Cabernet Franc ~7%
Petit Verdot ~6%
Malbec ~1%
