A beautifully pure and expressive Sancerre, combining ripe Sauvignon Blanc fruit with the freshness, chalky minerality and precision for which the vineyards of Bué are renowned.
The 2025 Merlin-Cherrier Sancerre Blanc offers grapefruit, pear and ripe yellow fruit alongside delicate white flowers and subtle mineral notes. The palate is generous and rounded while remaining wonderfully fresh, leading to a long, vibrant, and mineral finish.
Classic Sancerre with a little extra generosity—fresh, elegant and exceptionally versatile at the table.

Nose:
Expressive and refined, with grapefruit, ripe pear and yellow orchard fruit complemented by delicate elderflower, white blossom and subtle mineral notes.

Fresh and beautifully balanced. Citrus and ripe yellow fruit lead into a rounded, generous mid-palate, supported by vibrant acidity and a distinctive chalky mineral character.
Structure:
Medium-bodied with an attractive combination of concentration and freshness. More generous than an aggressively lean style of Sauvignon Blanc, yet still precise and unmistakably Sancerre.
Finish:
Long, clean, and refreshing, with lingering grapefruit, ripe orchard fruit, and fine mineral notes.
Domaine Merlin-Cherrier is a family estate based in the celebrated village of Bué, just southwest of the town of Sancerre.
The domaine's vineyards extend across numerous individual parcels, allowing its classic Sancerre to combine the characteristics of several different soils and exposures.
Today, the next generation is continuing the evolution of the estate, with greater emphasis on environmentally conscious vineyard management, organic conversion and longer maturation of the wines.
The 2025 Sancerre Blanc beautifully captures the domaine's style: Sauvignon Blanc that is fruit-driven and generous without sacrificing freshness, minerality or precision.
It is immediately recognizable as Sancerre, but with enough texture and concentration to make it particularly interesting at the dining table.
The 2025 vintage shows a particularly expressive combination of ripe fruit and mineral freshness.
Grapefruit and pear lead the aromatic profile, accompanied by ripe yellow fruit, delicate flowers and subtle mineral nuances.
The palate has impressive weight and concentration for Sauvignon Blanc, balanced by refreshing acidity and a long, energetic finish.
Although already very enjoyable, the wine has sufficient concentration and freshness to develop additional complexity over several years.
Drink now – 2031
The 2025 is delicious in its youth, when the citrus, pear and floral characteristics are at their most vibrant.
Over the next several years, expect the fruit to become slightly rounder and more integrated while subtle savory and mineral characteristics become increasingly prominent.
Serving Temperature: 9–11°C
Serve chilled but not excessively cold. Around 10–11°C lets the wine's aromatics, texture, and mineral character become much more expressive.
The combination of citrus freshness, ripe fruit and mineral structure makes this an exceptionally versatile food wine.
Excellent with:
Oysters · Ceviche · Sushi · Scallops · Shrimp · Crab · Grilled Sea Bass · Dover Sole · Asparagus · Fresh Salads · Goat Cheese · Burrata · Roast Chicken
Pair with fresh oysters, fish ceviche, or grilled local snapper.
The Sauvignon Blanc's citrus freshness works beautifully with seafood, while the wine's additional texture gives it enough substance to accompany richer preparations such as scallops or grilled fish.
For the classic Loire experience, pair it with fresh goat cheese. The combination of creamy, tangy cheese with Sancerre's citrus and mineral freshness remains one of the great regional food-and-wine pairings.
For Cayman, this is an ideal seafood and warm-weather white—refreshing enough for an aperitif, but with enough concentration and character to carry through lunch or dinner.
