Aloxe-Corton, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France
Domaine Olivier Leflaive Aloxe-Corton 1er Cru Les Fournières 2020 is a structured and expressive Pinot Noir, combining the power of Aloxe-Corton with refined Burgundian elegance.
Sourced from the Premier Cru vineyard “Les Fournières,” located on the lower slopes of Aloxe-Corton, this wine benefits from clay-limestone soils that bring both richness and balance. Crafted entirely from Pinot Noir, it reflects the appellation’s characteristic depth and subtle rustic charm, elevated by careful winemaking.
The 2020 vintage, shaped by warm and consistent conditions, offers ripe fruit, concentration, and supple structure while maintaining freshness and precision.
The nose is intense and aromatic, with notes of black cherry, redcurrant, and plum, layered with hints of spice, forest floor, and gentle oak.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with a firm yet polished structure. Dark and red fruit flavours are supported by fine tannins, with nuances of earth, spice, and minerality adding complexity.
The finish is long and structured, with lingering notes of fruit, spice, and refined tannins.
