Champagne, France
Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Alexandra 2012 is a rare and prestigious vintage rosé Champagne, crafted only in exceptional years and celebrated for its elegance, finesse, and remarkable purity.
Created as a tribute to Alexandra Laurent-Perrier, this cuvée is produced using the traditional maceration method, allowing the Pinot Noir grapes to impart both colour and structure. The blend is composed predominantly of Pinot Noir, complemented by Chardonnay, sourced from some of Champagne’s finest crus.
The 2012 vintage, widely regarded as outstanding, delivers concentration, freshness, and precision, resulting in a Champagne of both depth and refinement. Extended aging on lees enhances its complexity and texture.
The nose is refined and expressive, with aromas of wild strawberries, raspberry, and redcurrant, layered with notes of rose petals, citrus zest, and delicate spice.
On the palate, it is elegant and finely structured, with a vibrant core of red fruit balanced by fresh acidity and a silky mousse. Subtle hints of brioche, mineral notes, and gentle spice add depth.
The finish is long, precise, and harmonious, with lingering notes of red fruit, citrus, and refined freshness.
