La Fleur de Vivaltus is the more elegant and approachable expression from Vivaltus, one of Ribera del Duero’s most exciting modern projects. The wine is made with the guidance of Jean-Claude Berrouet, famed for his work at Château Pétrus, and is designed around freshness, finesse, and elegance rather than excessive extraction.
The 2016 vintage is composed mainly of Tempranillo, supported by small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It was aged for around 11–12 months in French oak, with a portion matured in ovoid vessels to enhance freshness and aromatic lift.
Now: Drinking beautifully with 30–60 minutes decanting
Peak: 2024–2036
Cellaring: Excellent medium-term ageing potential
