A serious and beautifully structured Premier Cru Burgundy from one of Nuits-Saint-Georges’ respected family domaines.
Les Bousselots 2022 is 100% Pinot Noir, combining dark cherry and cassis with spice, leather and a distinctive mineral character. Powerful and concentrated in its youth, yet beautifully precise, this is classic Nuits-Saint-Georges: structured, savory and built to evolve gracefully in the cellar.

Les Bousselots is a Premier Cru vineyard situated on the northern side of Nuits-Saint-Georges, toward Vosne-Romanée.
Domaine Jean Chauvenet works a small parcel of approximately 0.55 hectares, planted in 1986. The vineyard's combination of sandy, gravelly soils and underlying marl contributes both mineral character and structure to the wine.
Production is extremely limited, making Les Bousselots one of the more interesting discoveries within the domaine's Premier Cru collection.
The 2022 Burgundy vintage produced beautifully ripe Pinot Noir with excellent concentration and freshness.
In Les Bousselots, the vintage produced a particularly structured expression. Plenty of ripe fruit, but this is not simply a generous, immediately soft Burgundy. Its firm tannins and mineral backbone suggest a wine that will become increasingly complex with bottle age.
The 2022 has received excellent critical recognition, including 93 points from James Suckling and a 90–93 point range from Burghound.
2027–2040+
This is still a youthful Premier Cru and will reward patience.
If opening now, I recommend decanting for about an hour to let the fruit and aromatics emerge.
Serve slightly cool at approximately 15–16°C.
Pairs beautifully with duck breast, roast lamb, beef tenderloin, venison, game birds, wild mushroom dishes, truffle, roast pork, and mature cheeses.
Its combination of acidity, savory complexity and firm tannins makes it particularly suited to richer meat dishes.
A Burgundy for those who appreciate Pinot Noir with structure and depth.
Les Bousselots shows a more serious side of Burgundy. Rather than being delicate and purely fruit-driven, it combines dark fruit, mineral intensity, fine tannins, and savory complexity.
For guests who already enjoy Burgundy but want to explore beyond the most familiar villages, Jean Chauvenet is a wonderful discovery—and the excellent 2022 Les Bousselots is a bottle worth putting away in the cellar.
