Highland Park Vintage 1990 forms part of the distillery's prestigious Vintage Series, created to showcase exceptional casks from individual years.
Master Whisky Maker Gordon Motion began with 34 ex-bourbon casks originally filled in 1990.
Their contents were subsequently transferred into a selection of first-fill sherry-seasoned European and American oak hogsheads and refill hogsheads for additional maturation.
From these, just five exceptional casks were selected for the final expression:

The selected whiskies were married together in August 2023, allowing their distinctive characters to harmonise before bottling.
