Eden Valley, South Australia
Henschke Hill of Grace 2015 is one of Australia’s most iconic wines, a profound and age-worthy expression of old-vine Shiraz, celebrated for its depth, elegance, and remarkable sense of place.
Sourced from a single vineyard in Eden Valley, with vines dating back to the 1860s, Hill of Grace is produced from pre-phylloxera Shiraz grown on ancient soils. The vineyard’s unique terroir and low yields contribute to the wine’s concentration, complexity, and longevity.
The 2015 vintage is widely regarded as exceptional, offering ideal ripening conditions that resulted in wines of balance, purity, and structure. Careful aging in French oak enhances the wine’s depth while preserving its precision and character.
The nose is intensely aromatic and layered, with aromas of blackberry, plum, and dark cherry, complemented by notes of spice, sage, black pepper, and subtle floral nuances.
On the palate, it is full-bodied yet refined, with a powerful core of dark fruit supported by fine, velvety tannins and vibrant acidity. Layers of cocoa, graphite, and earthy complexity add depth and sophistication.
The finish is exceptionally long and elegant, with lingering notes of fruit, spice, and mineral precision.
