Eden Valley, South Australia, Australia
Henschke Hill of Grace 2014 is a beautifully poised and refined expression of this iconic single-vineyard Shiraz, combining elegance, purity, and remarkable balance.
Produced from pre-phylloxera vines planted in the 1860s in Eden Valley, Hill of Grace is one of Australia’s most celebrated wines. The vineyard’s ancient soils and meticulous vineyard practices yield fruit of exceptional concentration and finesse.
The 2014 vintage, shaped by a cooler and more moderate growing season compared to surrounding years, delivers freshness, aromatic lift, and precision. Carefully matured in French oak, the wine retains purity while gaining structure and complexity.
The nose is lifted and aromatic, with notes of blackberry, plum, and dark cherry, complemented by hints of violet, spice, sage, and subtle earthy nuances.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied and beautifully balanced, with a vibrant core of dark fruit supported by fine, silky tannins. Layers of spice, graphite, and mineral undertones add depth and elegance.
The finish is long, precise, and refined, with lingering notes of fruit, spice, and freshness.
