HAMPDEN ESTATE – Fifteen 15 Year Old Rum
Trelawny Parish, Jamaica
Hampden Estate Fifteen is one of the most prestigious releases from the historic Hampden Estate Distillery, a legendary Jamaican producer operating since 1753 and famous for intensely aromatic “high-ester” rums.
This expression is a Pure Single Jamaican Rum, distilled from molasses in traditional double-retort copper pot stills and aged for 15 years in ex-bourbon barrels entirely in the tropical climate of Jamaica. It is bottled at 50% ABV, giving it power while maintaining elegance and balance.
Hampden is known for its high-ester fermentation, which creates the distillery’s signature “funky” aromatic intensity—layers of tropical fruit, spice, and savory complexity.
Deep amber in colour. The nose is explosive and complex, with aromas of pineapple, ripe banana, orange peel, and spice, supported by hints of vanilla, oak, and toasted sugar. On the palate it is rich and powerful, showing flavours of tropical fruits, caramel, ginger, and roasted nuts, with Hampden’s distinctive estery character. The finish is long, warm, and intensely aromatic.
