Produced by The GlenDronach Distillery, the 12 Year Old “Original” is a classic Highland single malt matured exclusively in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks. It is renowned for its richness, depth, and traditional sherried style.

Style

A rich, full-flavoured Highland single malt with a pronounced sherry influence. Elegant yet generous, combining dried fruit sweetness, warming spice, and a silky mouthfeel.

Tasting Notes

Appearance:
Deep amber with copper highlights.

Nose:
Warm and inviting. Aromas of dried fruits, raisin, and fig are layered with notes of vanilla, honey, orange peel, and gentle baking spice.

Palate:
Full-bodied and smooth. Flavours of sherry-soaked raisins, toffee, dark chocolate, and spiced orange unfold across the palate, supported by soft oak and subtle nuttiness.

Finish:
Long, warming, and rounded, with lingering dried fruit, sweet spice, and gentle oak.

Maturation & Character

Aged for 12 years in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, delivering depth, richness, and classic sherried complexity without heaviness.
