Côte de Beaune, Burgundy — Chardonnay
Style:
A luminous and finely structured Premier Cru from one of Puligny-Montrachet’s most prized vineyards. “Les Combettes” is known for producing wines of elegance, aromatic lift, and seamless balance, and the 2023 vintage highlights purity and finesse.
Appearance:
Bright pale gold with green reflections.
Nose:
Elegant and layered, offering aromas of white peach, pear, and lemon zest, intertwined with white flowers, crushed limestone, and subtle hints of hazelnut and vanilla from judicious oak.
Palate:
Medium-bodied and beautifully textured. Flavours of ripe orchard fruit, citrus, and stone fruit are framed by vibrant acidity and a finely etched mineral backbone. The wine is both generous and precise, with excellent energy and clarity.
Finish:
Long, clean, and mineral-driven, with lingering notes of citrus, almond, and a delicate saline touch.
A harmonious vintage offering bright fruit expression, approachability, and balance, while retaining freshness and definition.
