GAJA – Rossj-Bass Chardonnay Langhe 2024
Piedmont, Italy
Produced by the legendary Gaja, Rossj-Bass 2024 is one of Italy’s most celebrated modern white wines. Named after Angelo Gaja’s daughter Rossana (“Rossj”), it combines Burgundian elegance with the freshness and minerality of the Langhe hills.
Predominantly Chardonnay with a small portion of Sauvignon Blanc, Rossj-Bass is sourced from estate vineyards in the Langhe. The wine is partially fermented and aged in oak, giving it texture and complexity while preserving vibrant fruit and freshness.
Brilliant golden-straw in color. Aromas of white peach, melon, citrus blossom, and jasmine, complemented by hints of tropical fruit and delicate oak spice. The palate is rich yet vibrant, showing flavors of golden apple, pineapple, pear, and almond blossom, supported by lively acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish.
