FRANÇOISE D’ALLAINES – Puligny-Montrachet “Tête de Cuvée” 2022
Burgundy, France
Françoise d'Allaines Puligny-Montrachet “Tête de Cuvée” 2022 is a refined Chardonnay from the prestigious village of Puligny-Montrachet in Burgundy’s Côte de Beaune, an appellation celebrated for producing some of the most elegant and mineral-driven white wines in the world.
“Tête de Cuvée” refers to a selection of the finest barrels or parcels, representing the best expression of the vintage. The wine is fermented and matured in French oak barrels, allowing the Chardonnay to develop texture and complexity while preserving the purity of the terroir.
Pale gold in colour with brilliant clarity. Aromas of white peach, citrus zest, and green apple, layered with hints of hazelnut, toasted brioche, and delicate floral notes. The palate is precise and mineral-driven, revealing flavours of lemon, pear, and stone fruit, supported by vibrant acidity and subtle oak, finishing long, elegant, and beautifully balanced.
