A beautifully fresh and expressive Chardonnay from Rully, combining ripe orchard fruit with citrus, subtle spice and the mineral freshness characteristic of the Côte Chalonnaise.
The 2024 shows attractive notes of peach, pear and lemon, with a gently rounded texture balanced by a refreshing saline finish. With only a small proportion matured in barrel, the emphasis remains firmly on purity, fruit and freshness.
Region: Burgundy, France
Subregion: Côte Chalonnaise
Appellation: Rully AOC
Vintage: 2024
Producer: Domaine Michel Briday
Grape: 100% Chardonnay
Alcohol: 12.5% ABV

This Rully is produced from four different vineyard parcels across the appellation: Chaponnières, Saint-Jacques, La Crée and La Bergerie.
Each contributes something different to the final wine. Chaponnières and Saint-Jacques bring finesse and white-fruit character, while the stonier soils of La Crée provide greater depth and structure. The deeper clay of La Bergerie contributes additional richness and a subtle exotic-fruit character.
The grapes are harvested by hand and gently pressed, followed by spontaneous fermentation using indigenous yeasts.
Only approximately 25% of the wine is matured in barrel, with the remainder kept in tank to preserve the freshness and purity of the Chardonnay.
Nose:
Fresh pear, white peach and lemon with delicate floral notes and subtle hints of spice and dried almond.
Palate:
Generous and inviting, with ripe peach and pear complemented by bright citrus. A gentle creaminess through the mid-palate is balanced by fresh acidity and an attractive mineral-saline character.
Structure:
Medium-bodied, fresh and beautifully balanced, with enough texture to give the wine substance without sacrificing its lively character.
Finish:
Clean and refreshing, with citrus, orchard fruit and a subtle saline note lingering on the finish.
