Impetus 2015 is a world-class Crémant de Loire that rivals many vintage Champagnes in both complexity and finesse. The blend of Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc provides elegance and freshness, while Cabernet Franc and Grolleau contribute depth and structure. After seven years of lees ageing, the wine displays extraordinary texture, precision and aromatic complexity, making it one of the Loire Valley's finest sparkling wines.
The finest grapes are hand-harvested from carefully selected vineyards planted on the renowned tuffeau limestone soils of Saumur. Gentle pressing and cool fermentation preserve aromatic purity before the wine undergoes a second fermentation in bottle according to the Traditional Method. The exceptional 84 months of maturation on lees in underground limestone cellars produce an extraordinarily fine mousse and remarkable complexity.
