The world's first Extra Añejo Tequila, Reserva de la Familia is the flagship expression of the Cuervo family's centuries-old tequila-making tradition. Produced in limited quantities from 100% Blue Weber Agave, it is matured for a minimum of three years in a combination of American and French oak barrels before being blended with older reserve tequilas from the family's private cellar. Rich, elegant and exceptionally complex, it is regarded as one of the benchmark luxury tequilas in the world.

Reserva de la Familia Extra Añejo is the pinnacle of the Jose Cuervo portfolio and one of Mexico's most celebrated luxury spirits. Produced using traditional methods—including slow-cooked agave, copper pot distillation and extended oak maturation—it bridges the worlds of fine tequila, Cognac and single malt whisky. Rich yet impeccably balanced, it is a sipping tequila designed for the finest occasions.
Only the hearts (piñas) of fully mature Blue Weber agaves are selected. After slow cooking and traditional distillation at La Rojeña, Latin America's oldest active distillery, the tequila is aged for a minimum of three years in carefully selected American and French oak barrels. The Master Distiller then blends younger and older reserve tequilas from the family's private collection to achieve the signature Reserva de la Familia style. Each bottle is presented in a handcrafted wooden collector's box featuring artwork by a renowned Mexican artist.
