Style
A benchmark Southern Rhône red, often affectionately referred to as the "Baby Beaucastel." Produced by the renowned Perrin family from vineyards immediately adjacent to Châteauneuf-du-Pape, it shares the same distinctive galets roulés (rounded stone) soils and meticulous winemaking philosophy as the estate's flagship wines.

Grape Varieties
Nose
Expressive aromas of ripe blackberries, black cherries, wild raspberries, Provençal herbs (garrigue), cracked black pepper, violets and warm spices, with subtle earthy and mineral notes.
Palate
Medium to full-bodied with remarkable purity and balance. Layers of dark berry fruit are complemented by notes of thyme, liquorice, cocoa and savoury spice. Silky tannins and vibrant acidity provide freshness, while the Mourvèdre adds depth and structure.

The 2023 growing season produced wines of excellent concentration while retaining freshness and balance. Careful vineyard management and favourable conditions resulted in grapes with exceptional purity of fruit, refined tannins and impressive aromatic complexity. The vintage is already highly regarded for its harmony and ageing potential.

Although approachable in its youth with a short decant, this wine will continue to gain complexity over the next decade.
