CHÂTEAU PAPE CLÉMENT – Blanc 2017
Pessac-Léognan, Bordeaux, France
Produced by Château Pape Clément, this exceptional white wine comes from one of the oldest estates in Bordeaux, whose origins date back to the 13th century and are linked to Pope Clement V, who once owned the property.
Château Pape Clément Blanc is one of the most prestigious dry white wines from the Pessac‑Léognan appellation. The wine is typically a blend dominated by Sauvignon Blanc with Sémillon, fermented and aged in French oak barrels to create a wine of richness, texture, and remarkable complexity.
Brilliant pale gold in colour. The nose is expressive, offering aromas of white peach, citrus zest, acacia blossom, and toasted hazelnut, layered with hints of vanilla, brioche, and mineral stone. The palate is rich yet precise, showing flavours of ripe pear, lemon curd, and subtle tropical fruit, supported by vibrant acidity and a long, elegant, mineral finish.
