Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux, France
Château Meyney 2020 is a classic expression of Saint-Estèphe, combining structure, depth, and elegance with the distinctive character of this historic Left Bank estate.
Produced from vineyards located near the Gironde estuary, Château Meyney benefits from gravelly soils over clay, ideal for cultivating Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Merlot and Petit Verdot. The 2020 vintage reflects excellent ripeness and concentration, while maintaining the firm structure typical of the appellation.
The wine is aged in French oak barrels, allowing it to develop complexity, balance, and refined tannins.
The nose is intense and layered, with aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, and plum, complemented by notes of cedar, graphite, tobacco, and subtle spice.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and structured, with firm yet polished tannins supporting rich dark fruit flavours. Hints of earth, spice, and mineral notes add depth and complexity.
The finish is long and persistent, with lingering notes of cassis, oak, and refined tannins.
