Côtes de Bordeaux — Francs
Farming: Biodynamic / Organic
Style: Elegant, pure, and expressive; a natural, low-intervention Bordeaux known for finesse rather than power.
Appearance:
Bright ruby with youthful purple highlights.
Nose:
Fresh and aromatic, showing red cherry, wild raspberry, and plum, layered with violets, dried herbs, graphite, and a subtle earthy, mineral character. There’s a lovely sense of purity and lift, with no heavy oak influence.
Palate:
Medium-bodied, silky, and precise. Flavours of red berries, pomegranate, and cranberry glide across the palate, supported by fine, chalky tannins and vibrant acidity. The wine feels alive and energetic, with a transparent expression of terroir.
Finish:
Long, elegant, and refreshing, with lingering red fruit, floral notes, and a gentle mineral grip.
Primarily Merlot, with Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Malbec (field blend).
A cooler, more classic Bordeaux vintage, favouring freshness, balance, and drinkability over sheer ripeness. Château Le Puy excels in such years, producing wines of clarity and finesse.
