Les Arômes de Pavie 2016 is the second wine of Château Pavie, offering a more approachable yet refined expression of this prestigious Saint-Émilion estate.
Produced from younger vines and select parcels of the Pavie vineyard, this cuvée reflects the estate’s commitment to precision and quality. The blend is predominantly Merlot, supported by Cabernet Franc, delivering richness, texture, and aromatic complexity.
The 2016 vintage is widely regarded as exceptional in Bordeaux, combining power with balance, and showcasing remarkable purity of fruit and structure.
The nose is generous and expressive, with aromas of ripe blackberries, plum, and black cherry, layered with notes of violet, spice, and subtle oak.
On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, with a supple texture and well-integrated tannins. Flavours of dark fruit are complemented by hints of chocolate, licorice, and gentle spice.
The finish is smooth and elegant, with lingering fruit and refined structure.
