Toscana IGT, Tuscany, Italy
Castello di Ama L’Apparita 2007 in Double Magnum is a powerful and opulent expression of pure Merlot, showcasing the richness of the vintage alongside remarkable depth and longevity, enhanced by large-format aging.
Produced from a single vineyard in Gaiole in Chianti, L’Apparita is one of Tuscany’s most iconic 100% Merlot wines, known for its precision, texture, and aging potential.
The 2007 vintage, marked by warmth and excellent ripeness, delivers generous fruit, concentration, and a plush, velvety structure. Aging in French oak adds complexity and polish, while the Double Magnum format (3L) allows the wine to evolve more slowly, preserving freshness and extending its lifespan.
The nose is rich and expressive, with aromas of ripe black cherry, plum, and blackberry, complemented by notes of cocoa, spice, tobacco, and subtle earthy nuances.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and opulent, with a dense core of dark fruit supported by silky, well-integrated tannins. Layers of chocolate, sweet spice, and mineral undertones add depth and complexity.
The finish is long, smooth, and persistent, with lingering notes of fruit, spice, and refined oak.
