Napa Valley | Field-Blend Red
Typically includes Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, Syrah, Charbono, and other heritage varieties.
Buccella’s Mixed Blacks 2019 is a bold, expressive homage to Napa Valley’s historic field blends. Crafted with the same meticulous attention Buccella brings to its Cabernet program, this wine delivers ripe intensity, luxurious texture, and deep, dark fruit complexity, while remaining beautifully balanced and approachable.
Lush and seductive. Aromas of blackberry jam, blueberry compote, and black cherry fill the glass, intertwined with violet, clove, and allspice. Layers of dark cocoa, licorice, peppercorn, and cedar add depth and dimension.
Full-bodied, dense, and velvety. The palate bursts with ripe black fruit, plum, boysenberry, and blueberries, framed by supple, plush tannins. The natural richness of the blend is elevated by notes of molasses, espresso, vanilla bean, and smoked herbs. Despite its power, there is excellent freshness and lift, giving the wine a sense of precision and drive.
Long, dark, and polished. Lingering flavors of black fruit, spice, dark chocolate, and toasted oak fade slowly, leaving a warm, generous impression.
Buccella Mixed Blacks 2019 is a hedonistic yet refined Napa blend—rich, bold, fruit-driven, and impeccably textured. It is drinking beautifully now, especially with hearty, flavor-packed dishes, but will continue to develop over the next 6–8 years.
Perfect pairings include smoked short ribs, BBQ brisket, truffle burgers, or rich pasta dishes like oxtail ragù.
