Single Malt Scotch Whisky – Islay (Unpeated)
Edition: 10.1
Age: 29 Years
ABV: ~45.1% (varies slightly by market)
Cask Composition: Secret / undisclosed (Bruichladdich tradition)
Style:
A mysterious, limited-edition whisky crafted by Head Distiller Adam Hannett using an undisclosed combination of exceptional casks. Elegant, deep, and multi-layered — the pinnacle of unpeated Islay.
Appearance:
Deep gold to rich amber, with copper glints.
Nose:
Beautifully aromatic and complex. Layers of dried apricot, fig, sultana, and honeycomb unfold alongside dark chocolate, toasted oak, clove, nutmeg, and hints of orange peel, tobacco leaf, and polished leather. A gentle floral lift and subtle tropical notes (mango, pineapple) appear with time in the glass.
Palate:
Silky, rich, and elegant. Flavours of dark fruits, caramelized citrus, vanilla cream, and marzipan mingle with spiced cake, cocoa, roasted nuts, and a refined oak influence. Deep layers of complexity reveal themselves gradually — hints of coffee bean, dried flowers, cedar, and a whisper of maritime salinity.
Finish:
Long, warming, and beautifully persistent. Notes of fig, honey, spice, and sweet oak linger, with a gentle mineral note and remarkable balance.
