Champagne, France — NV
Style:
A rich, structured, and unmistakably Bollinger Champagne, Special Cuvée is known for its depth, power, and complexity, driven by a high proportion of Pinot Noir and long ageing on the lees.
Appearance:
Golden yellow with fine, persistent bubbles.
Nose:
Expressive and complex. Aromas of ripe apple, pear, and citrus peel lead into brioche, toasted bread, and hazelnut, with subtle notes of spice, honey, and chalky minerality.
Palate:
Full-bodied and creamy, yet precise. Flavours of orchard fruit, baked apple, and lemon zest are layered with toasty brioche, almond, and light spice. The mousse is fine and persistent, and the wine shows Bollinger’s hallmark richness balanced by freshness.
Finish:
Long, structured, and elegant, with lingering notes of toast, apple skin, and mineral tension.
Predominantly Pinot Noir (≈60%), with Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier
Significant use of reserve wines (some aged in magnum)
Extended ageing on the lees for added complexity
A benchmark Champagne offering:

Distinctly Bollinger in style
Equally suited as an aperitif or with food.
