ANTINORI – Solaia 2021
Tuscany, Italy
Marchesi Antinori Solaia 2021 is one of Italy’s most iconic Super Tuscan wines, produced at the renowned Tenuta Tignanello estate in the Chianti Classico region. First released in 1978, Solaia has become one of the most prestigious wines in Italy and a benchmark for Cabernet-based blends from Tuscany.
The wine comes from the historic Solaia vineyard, whose name means “the sunny one,” reflecting its exceptional sun exposure. The blend typically combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese, and Cabernet Franc, creating a wine that marries the elegance of Tuscany with the depth and structure of Bordeaux varieties.
Deep ruby with violet reflections. The nose reveals aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry, layered with notes of violet, tobacco, graphite, and sweet spice. The palate is powerful yet refined, offering flavours of ripe dark fruit, cocoa, cedar, and Mediterranean herbs, supported by polished tannins and vibrant acidity, finishing long, elegant, and complex.
