Antinori Solaia 2010
Toscana IGT, Italy
Produced by the historic Marchesi Antinori, Solaia is one of Italy’s most iconic Super Tuscans. From the prized Solaia vineyard at the Tignanello estate in Chianti Classico, the 2010 vintage is widely regarded as one of the greatest expressions of this legendary wine—combining power, precision, and extraordinary longevity.
A world-class, Bordeaux-inspired Super Tuscan. Powerful yet impeccably balanced, with layered dark fruit, refined oak, and a firm structural backbone built for long ageing.
Appearance:
Deep, opaque ruby with garnet reflections at the rim.
Nose:
Intense and complex. Aromas of blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark cherry are layered with violet, graphite, cedar, tobacco, cocoa powder, and subtle notes of vanilla and sweet spice from beautifully integrated oak.
Palate:
Full-bodied and commanding, yet remarkably polished. Concentrated flavours of cassis, black plum, and black cherry are supported by fine-grained, powerful tannins and vibrant acidity. Nuances of espresso, dark chocolate, licorice, balsamic notes, and mineral undertones add depth and sophistication.
Finish:
Exceptionally long, refined, and persistent, with lingering dark fruit, spice, and elegant oak.
An outstanding, classic vintage in Tuscany. Ideal growing conditions delivered wines of exceptional balance, aromatic precision, and structure. The 2010 vintage is celebrated for producing wines with both immediate harmony and remarkable ageing potential.
