AMEDEI I CRU – SINGLE-ORIGIN DARK CHOCOLATE NAPOLITAINS BOX

36 Napolitains · 162 g / 5.7 oz

Style Summary

A sophisticated journey through four distinctive cacao origins, Amedei I Cru brings together individually wrapped Napolitains showcasing single-origin dark chocolates from Ecuador, Grenada, Madagascar and Venezuela.

Each origin expresses a remarkably different personality—from Madagascar's vibrant red-fruit freshness to the extraordinary intensity of Venezuela—making this collection an ideal introduction to the concept of terroir in fine chocolate. Amedei's current presentation contains 36 individual Napolitains, perfect for sharing, gifting or creating a comparative chocolate tasting.

Cacao Origins: Ecuador · Grenada · Madagascar · Venezuela
Style: Single-Origin Extra Dark Chocolate Collection
Format: 36 Individual Napolitains
Current Net Weight: 162 g / 5.7 oz

Your inventory lists this presentation as 160 g / 5.6 oz; Amedei's current specification is 162 g, so I would keep 160 g on your website if that is the weight printed on your actual packaging.

The Four Cru Chocolates

ECUADOR — 77%
Rich, rounded and expressive, with intense cacao accompanied by ripe banana, dried fruit and toasted caramel. A generous style that combines concentration with warmth and elegance.

GRENADA — 85%
Deep and powerful, with fruit compote and dried-fruit characteristics complementing the intensity of the high-cacao chocolate. Rich and persistent without becoming excessively bitter.

MADAGASCAR — 72%
The brightest and most vibrant expression in the collection, showing lively acidity alongside red fruit and licorice. Elegant, energetic and immediately distinctive.

VENEZUELA — 92%
The most intense Cru in the collection. Exceptionally concentrated cacao is balanced by distinctive notes of sour cherry, cream and roasted coffee, creating remarkable complexity despite the formidable 92% cocoa concentration.

Tasting Profile

Aroma:
A fascinating spectrum ranging from bright berries and exotic fruit to dried fruit, caramel, roasted coffee and intensely concentrated cacao.

Palate:
Each Napolitain reveals a different expression of cacao. Madagascar is fresh and fruit-driven; Ecuador is rounder and more generous; Grenada offers greater concentration and dried-fruit depth; and Venezuela provides the collection's darkest and most powerful expression.

Texture:
A clean, precise snap followed by Amedei's characteristically smooth and refined melt, allowing the aromatic differences between the four origins to unfold gradually.

Finish:
The progression ranges from Madagascar's vibrant fruit and acidity through the richer styles of Ecuador and Grenada before culminating in Venezuela's exceptionally long, dark and roasted finish.

The I Cru Story

Amedei's I Cru collection explores one of the most fascinating aspects of fine chocolate: cacao can express the character of its origin much as grapes express the character of a vineyard.

Rather than creating a single blended house style, these chocolates allow four individual origins to take center stage. Amedei specifically created the collection to highlight the unique and distinctive characteristics of four exceptional single-origin chocolates.

For wine lovers, the concept is immediately familiar: four origins, four expressions of terroir.

Summary

Amedei I Cru transforms a box of chocolates into a genuine tasting experience.

The collection moves from the bright, red-fruited Madagascar 72%, through the exotic richness of Ecuador 77% and deeper intensity of Grenada 85%, before finishing with the extraordinary concentration of Venezuela 92%.

With 36 individually portioned Napolitains, this larger presentation is particularly well suited to entertaining, gifting, wine tastings and after-dinner service. It is also an excellent choice for anyone curious about how dramatically the flavor of fine cacao can change according to where it is grown.

Pairing Suggestions

This collection offers a wonderful opportunity to pair each origin individually:

PAIR WITH:

Amedei recommends storing the chocolates in a cool, dry environment between 14°C and 18°C, with an indicated shelf life of 18 months.
