Vau-Ligneau is a distinctive Premier Cru vineyard planted on the classic Kimmeridgian limestone soils of Chablis, rich in ancient marine deposits.
The vines are approximately 20–30 years old and enjoy a full southern exposure, allowing the Chardonnay to achieve excellent ripeness while retaining the freshness and mineral character for which Chablis is renowned.
The wine is traditionally vinified in temperature-controlled tanks and subsequently matured in tank.
There is no oak ageing, allowing the fruit, acidity and mineral character of Vau-Ligneau to remain completely at the forefront.

Preferred Window: 2027–2032
The 2024 can certainly be enjoyed now, particularly for those who appreciate youthful Chablis with vibrant citrus fruit and pronounced mineral freshness.
Another 1–3 years in bottle should bring greater integration and texture while preserving its characteristic tension.
With further bottle age, expect the fresh citrus and orchard fruit to evolve toward preserved lemon, almond, oyster shell and more complex mineral notes.
If opening young, allow approximately 15–20 minutes in the glass.
Serving Temperature: 10–12°C

Oysters · Caviar · Crab · Prawns · Scallops · Langoustines · Sushi · Sea Bass · Dover Sole · Grilled Fish · Roast Chicken · Veal · Goat Cheese · Époisses
