Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina
Achaval Ferrer Finca Bella Vista 2020 is a distinguished single-vineyard Malbec, known for its richness, elegance, and refined structure, reflecting the character of old vines in one of Mendoza’s most historic regions.
Sourced from ungrafted vines planted in 1910 in Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo, this vineyard sits at a slightly lower altitude than Altamira, resulting in a wine of greater breadth and plushness while retaining balance and precision.
Crafted with a minimalist approach, the wine is aged in French oak to enhance complexity and texture, while allowing the purity of the fruit and terroir to shine through.
The 2020 vintage offers concentration, depth, and harmony, showcasing both power and elegance.
The nose is rich and expressive, with aromas of black cherry, plum, and blackberry, complemented by notes of violet, spice, and a hint of cocoa.
On the palate, it is full-bodied and velvety, with a dense core of dark fruit supported by polished tannins. Layers of chocolate, sweet spice, and subtle earthiness add depth and complexity.
The finish is long, smooth, and refined, with lingering notes of fruit, spice, and gentle oak.
